On stage, Clue unfolds as a fast-paced comedic murder mystery inspired by the classic board game. The plot begins at a mansion where six guests—Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mrs. Peacock, Mr. Green, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet—are invited to dinner by the mysterious Mr. Boddy. Each guest is given a weapon and a motive, and soon Mr. Boddy winds up dead.
From there, chaos erupts as the guests, along with the butler Wadsworth and the cook, scramble through the mansion’s rooms—study, library, kitchen, ballroom—trying to figure out who the killer is, with what weapon, and in which room. The play balances suspense with sharp comedy, filled with witty dialogue, slapstick chases, and clever nods to the board game’s mechanics.
As the investigation spirals, multiple endings are revealed, each offering a different solution to the mystery. This playful twist keeps the audience guessing until the final curtain.
In short, Clue on Stage is a hilarious whodunit that mixes mystery, farce, and nostalgia, inviting the audience to laugh while piecing together the puzzle. Would you like me to give you a breakdown of the main characters and their roles in the mystery?

Although I had learned the basics of drafting, Mamma Mia! pushed me to adapt those skills in new ways. Since I needed to share plans with several people, I taught myself how to use SweetHome 3D and carefully measured out our entire stage. This wasn’t easy—our original technical director was on medical leave, so I had no access to the original floor plans. Without professional measuring equipment, our crew often found ourselves a foot or two off, which meant constant adjustments and problem-solving.
It was also the first production with a substitute technical director, and the absence of our usual mentor left things feeling unbalanced. I and two others were considered senior technicians, but we often felt less experienced compared to the previous generation and the guidance we had once relied on. Still, the substitute director, who had worked at the school years earlier and was now a contractor, became an invaluable teacher. From him, I learned practical skills like framing and construction techniques, and I gained a deeper appreciation for the craft behind stage building.
The process was full of challenges, but it taught me patience and humility. I realized that leadership doesn’t mean having all the answers—it means being willing to learn, adapt, and share responsibility. Even when mistakes happened, I focused on listening, improving, and supporting the team. Looking back, the experience wasn’t about producing flawless drafts or perfect measurements; it was about growing through the struggles, learning from mentors old and new, and finding confidence in the messy, collaborative process of theater.
